Shalini Vadhera - Founder of Passport To Beauty

Shalini Vadhera's global influence with women and young girls stems from her entrepreneurial passion to build companies and create products for women to empower women. Vadhera's journey has laid the groundwork of authenticity that resonates not only with the women she meets, but in every facet of her personal life. Her rise from jewelry and fashion entrepreneur, celebrity make-up artist, best selling author of Passport To Beauty, favorite guest of Dr. Oz, Today, and The View to the founder of a $21-million dollar global cosmetics company is nothing short of remarkable. Vadhera has transformed this platform while using her business acumen to create global beauty, lifestyle and business solutions to empower women around the world.

Armed with an international business degree and an eye on launching her own global beauty and lifestyle brand, Vadhera started her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 19 when her father sent her to India to start her own company. And that’s exactly what she did creating luxury jewelry and fashion lines sold to Macys and Nordstrom. But with a passion for beauty she launched her makeup career at the top with her big break working on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,“ a stint that led to a successful career as a celebrity makeup artist. Her success led to recognition by numerous media outlets branding Vadhera as a multi-cultural and global beauty and lifestyle expert as well as a business expert resulting in frequent appearances on CBS’s “The Early Show,” “The Dr. Oz Show”, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsche,” E!,” NBC’s “The Today Show,” The Doctors",” “Fox News”, “Extra,”ABC’s “The View.”

Before long, industry insiders wanted to capitalize on Vadhera’s sterling reputation and vast knowledge of exotic ingredients and cultures around the world. This unique point of difference placed Vadhera in demand as a spokesperson and consultant for many Fortune 500 Companies such as Olay, Chapstick, Veet, Revlon, Lola Cosmetics on QVC ,Select Comfort Mattresses, Pantone Colors, Everyday Health and as the national spokesperson for iVillage.com which included hosting the web-based show “About Face” and doing iVillage makeovers on The Today Show and as the US/Canadian Spokesperson for The Body ShopIn 2005, Vadhera founded the makeup brand Global Goddess Beauty (in her garage, no less) and found instant success in Sephora and QVC. That success catapulted the brand to a $21 million dollar valuation within 24 months. It wasn't long before Vadhera's products could be found globally in retailers Nordstrom, Dillards, HSN, QVC UK, Victoria's Secret. In fact, Global Goddess products quickly became beauty editor and celebrity favorites. Oprah awarded Vadhera her coveted Beauty "O-Ward" in 2009. Vadhera exited her brand in 2010.

In 2014, Vadhera experienced a life-changing event on her way to meet a Korean Master in Sedona, Arizona. Her car was struck by lightning and, as the energy shot through her body and brain, it manifested into a spiritual awakening over the next 24-hours that forever change her life. She came away inspired her to launch her next global brand, Power Beauty Living, by creating an environment for women and girls to be mentored, guided and set-up for success in business, beauty and life. Vadhera was further inspired to take this route by witnessing the stunning lack of mentorship of women by women when she launched her previous brand.

Vadhera officially launched Power Beauty Living in September 2014, a social platform for women which shares the knowledge of top female thought leaders and experts from around the world by providing women a community of love, support, and empowerment. Through panels, workshops, products, and events, Power Beauty Living equips women with a toolkit to reach their highest potential while feeling and looking beautiful from the inside out. Vadhera is also the founder of PassportBeauty.com, a beauty and wellness online platform that curates and creates the world’s best beauty and wellness discoveries from around the world to help women celebrate their beauty from the inside out.
